2] Go to iTunes.
3] Connect your iPhone/ iPad.
4] Switch it off by pressing the power button.
5] Now put the phone in DFU mode by pressing the power and home button simultaneously and when the apple logo arrives on the device's screen let go off the power button while keeping the home button pressed until you see the message in itunes that says that you phone is now in restore mode.
6] Press the restore button in iTunes while keeping the shift key pressed so that you can manually select the option to restore the firmware from your downloaded IPSW in step 1.
7] Your device will now be updated. [Set up as new iPhone for now. Once you have put all your Cydia apps restore from backup.]
8] Download the jailbreak tool Evasi0n from the link provided in step 1.
9] Press jailbreak and follow the easy instructions that you will see on the screen.
10] OPTIONAL STEP: After jailbreaking always remember to use tiny umbrella save SHSH blobs always (so that you can downgrade your iPhone to available jailbreak versions).
11] Go to Cydia and add the source iHacksRepo - http://www.ihacksrepo.com

Steps for ANTIVIRUS Protection:
1. Open Cydia on your iPhone and look for MobileTerminal (NEW)(source: IHR); install MobileTerminal on your iPhone and restart your iPhone;
2. Open the MobileTerminal terminal window by tapping on its icon
3. Enter "su root" and press return.
4. Input the current default root password "alpine" and press return.
5. Type "passwd" command and press enter.
6. Input a new password and press return. Make sure your new password is safe and easy to remember.
7. Enter the new password again and press return.
8. Exit.
So long, you have secure your jailbroken iPhone by changing its root password.
14] Install SBSettings (or alternatively NCSettings.
